What we collect
We do not see your email, password, or private messages, and we never post anything to your Discord account. What we do store depends on what you use:
- Logging in with Discord. Your Discord ID, username, and avatar. Discord also lets us see which servers you are in (used to check whether you are Sudak Customs staff) and the accounts you have linked to your Discord profile, such as X, Steam, or Epic Games. We keep your Discord login token, encrypted, so entry requirements can be checked again later without you having to log in.
- Linking Twitch or YouTube.If you connect one of them, we store that account's ID and name and an encrypted, read-only access token: for Twitch the channels you follow, for YouTube your subscriptions. Nothing else on those accounts is read.
- Entry requirements. The result of each check, any warning you got for a requirement that stopped checking out, and the linked accounts from your Discord profile as they were when we last checked.
- Your role in our server. The colour and icon of your highest roles in the Sudak Customs Discord server, read by our bot, so names on player lists can be coloured like they are in Discord.
- Tournaments. The tournaments you register for, your team, team invites, and when you joined.
- Hosting a community tournament. The tournament you submit together with your Discord ID, username, and avatar as its host, and its review history: when you submitted it, which staff member decided on it, and the reason they gave.
- Feedback forms. Your answers, linked to your Discord ID so each person answers once.
- Notifications. The messages in the notification bell. Only the 50 most recent are kept.
- Moderation. If you are banned, from one tournament or from the site, the ban, its reason, and which staff member applied it.
How we use it
- Your username and avatar are shown on tournament pages you register for, so other players can see who is competing. Staff use your Discord ID to match your registration to your in-game results and to pay out prizes.
- Linked accounts and the accounts on your Discord profile are used only to verify entry requirements, at registration and again while registration is open. A player who no longer meets a requirement is warned and, if it still is not met, removed. Staff can see which account you linked for a requirement.
- If a tournament has a stream page, registered players who are live on their linked Twitch account are shown on it.
- Our bot sends you Discord messages about tournaments you are in, and about tournaments you host. Registrations, team changes, and staff actions are logged to a private staff channel in Discord.
- If you host a community tournament, your username and avatar are shown publicly as its host once it is approved. Staff see your Discord ID and your submission in the review panel. The host of a community tournament sees the same player list everyone else sees, and can remove or ban players from that tournament only.
Nothing is sold to anyone.
Services we rely on
Discord for logging in, the bot, and staff logs. Twitch and Google (YouTube) when you link those accounts. Yunite, the Discord bot used in the Sudak Customs server, for tournament leaderboards; that data comes from Yunite and follows their privacy policy as well. The site is hosted on Vercel and stores its data in a MongoDB database.
Advertisements
Community tournament pages may show advertisements, and an official tournament page may show one from that event's sponsor. They are images served from our own site: no ad networks, no ad trackers, and no cookies are involved. When you click one we count the click as a running total for that advertisement, without recording who clicked. The advertiser's website has its own privacy policy.
Cookies and analytics
We set three cookies, all strictly for the site to work:
- a session cookie that keeps you logged in;
- a language cookie that remembers the language you picked, for a year;
- a short-lived cookie while you connect Twitch or YouTube, which protects that sign-in and expires after ten minutes.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It sets no cookies and collects no personal data. There are no ad trackers.
Removing your data
- Unregister from a tournament and your name comes off its player list.
- You can revoke our access to a linked Twitch or YouTube account at any time in that account's own settings, which stops the stored token from working. Ask staff to delete the stored link itself.
- A community tournament you host can be deleted from the hosting page while nobody has registered for it; after that, ask staff.
- If you want all of your data deleted, including linked accounts and tournaments you host, ask a staff member in the Discord server and we will remove it.
